Sabri, meaning patience in Arabic, is a solo project and first name of New York artist Sam Sundos. This project, described by Sundos, is a celebration of the crossing of genre and medium. Pulling references from classic artists the Velvet Underground and the Stone Roses to more contemporary artists like Frank Ocean and Kanye West, Sundos also takes a page from the Downtown ‘81 era New York scene incorporating visual and performance art into consideration while searching for direction in this new work.

‘Oh Honey’ is the first release from Sabri and highlights the foundation of what the project stands for: an embrace of modern culture and technology while maintaining the craft of evergreen songwriting and artistic expression as its driving force. Sundos collaborated with friend & LA producer Andrew Miller to fully bring the project to life, with the pair creating and completing ‘Oh Honey’ at their home studios on opposite coasts, sharing files and edits via email.

According to Sundos, "It’s a project from a big, brown man accepting his past, acknowledging the present and remaining hopeful for the future.” Though pessimism may come natural, optimism is slowly taking hold of the artist, and he hopes to share that growth to help light up the world around him.
