Grazer is the musical project of Melbourne couple, Mollie and Matt, whose backgrounds in painting, photography and poetry inform their focused sound - a dreamy amalgam of 80s Britpop and 90s shoegaze.
Formed in late 2019, Grazer has only begun to establish themselves in Melbourne’s rich DIY scene. The band made the most of the lockdown period by bunkering down in a Carlton basement to self-record their first EP and early singles. In March of 2021, Grazer then released single “Nostalgia Seed” which was widely embraced by fans and DSPs who celebrated the band's melodic riffs, high basslines, and echoing male and female vocals. Their wistful refrains recall the swell of early romance and the melancholic optimism of youth.

Their alternative shoegaze style reflects the experimental sound they have beautifully developed. Melancholic and dark, with warm synths and perfectly blended vocals, this band is a force to be reckoned with.
Melbourne duo Grazer have dropped a dreamy, melancholic new single, entitled ‘Reunion’. It’s a characteristically atmospheric cut from the band, with bright melodic tones and a warm, textural backdrop.
The song is so incredibly simple in it’s construction with sparse instrumentation, yet the track will definitely find its way into your head and warrant multiple spins. My soundtrack for today.
